Partly a creative introspection, partly a conceptualization of the events in Slovak documentary over the past few decades, partly a reflection on the most fundamental questions that have been weighing on documentary filmmakers lately. Marek Kuboš has crafted a meta-documentary that presents the Slovak documentary scene to the audience with unparalleled wit and complexity.

Marek Kuboš has crafted a meta-documentary that presents the Slovak documentary scene to the audience with unparalleled wit and complexity. He chose a clear concept for this – he interviews three generations of Slovak documentary filmmakers in his car, and their responses, opinions, and memories are juxtaposed with footage from their films. He firmly sticks to the established themes, which also form the structure and individual chapters of the film. These include documentary ethics, consideration for the audience, and the future of documentary filmmaking. Whether interviewing creators like Dušan Hanák, who experienced the events of 1968 and saw his films locked away, Zuzana Piussi, who belongs to the pivotal generation of the 1990s that experienced a liberation of filmmaking expression, or the newest generation represented by filmmakers like Miro Remo, he doesn't forget to create connections among them, which turn the film into a cohesive whole. It is primarily a love letter to documentary film and a compelling invitation to explore Slovak cinema.
